Top 5 Brigade Questions

Question: If I request "SEND ME A SHIPPING LABEL", how long does it take to receive my labels?

Answer: If you choose the Postal Mail route, your prepaid UPS labels will be sent to you via Canada Post in approximately 2 weeks. However, shipping times may vary by location. If it has been more than 14 days since you signed up, please contact TerraCycle using the form below. (Remember, if you have a printer, you will get your labels almost instantly by clicking on “Print My Label Now”.)

Question: What are the minimum amounts for shipping?

For the pre-paid UPS mailers, we encourage you to fill the mailer bag with at least 100 pouches or as many as 300 or 400 pouches. You can also use a single UPS label on a cardboard carton (roughly 24” long x 12” wide x 12” high) holding up to 1000 drink pouches.

For the downloadable labels, you may fill any suitable mailing envelope with at least 100 or as many as it will hold. Paper mailers can fall apart during shipping, so please re-use something stronger like Tyvek, Vinyl or other sturdy mailers. You can also use a single UPS label on a cardboard carton (roughly 24” long x 12” wide x 12” high) holding up to 1000 drink pouches.

In all cases, please write the number of pouches enclosed right on the mailing label.

To downloade labels:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. On the right side, click on the my account link.
  3. Click on the "GROW" tab.
  4. Here, you will be able to view and print the bulk shipping instructions for each brigade.

Question: Does it matter which label I use for my Brigade shipments?

Answer:Yes. Your return shipping label must correspond with the Team you are collecting for. We will be unable to credit your account if the shipping label does not correspond with your Team. Please double check your labels before using them. If there is an error contact us before shipping.

Example: You CANNOT use a pre-paid drink pouch label to send in your cookie wrappers. (We will divert the waste, but you will not receive credit.)

Question: Can I sign up for every available collection program?

Answer:Yes, we encourage all participants to sign up for multiple collection programs. Please keep in mind that you must join each Brigade to collect for that waste stream.

Question: Can my school organization be the designated charity?

Answer: Absolutely! Please check with your school to determine the specific payee information for the cheque we will issue.

  • November through April collections: check is issued in June
