Recycle all cookie and cracker wrappers through this program.
TerraCycle® and Mr. Christie's have partnered to create a free recycling program for all brands and sizes of cookie and cracker wrappers, and a fundraising opportunity for participants.
Please note that the new shipment size requirement has gone into effect and that only shipments weighing at least 5 pounds (approximately 1500 wrappers) will earn the TerraCycle point donation.
This program is currently full. While you wait for more slots to become available in this program, we encourage you to look at our Snack Wrapper Zero Waste Box.
Participating is completely free and very easy.
When you are ready to send in a shipment, download a shipping label from your TerraCycle account by clicking "Ship us your waste" and follow the prompts. Print out your label and tape it securely onto your box. Ship the box to TerraCycle by calling UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS and scheduling a next business day pick up.
Program accepted waste: Any brand of individual or family size cookie and cracker wrappers, pouches and bags
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed (i.e: leftover crumbs). Additionally, if you choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry prior to shipping.
Once collected, the cookie and cracker wrappers are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts, or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-proft organization or school of your choice. To learn more about our points program, click here.
Need help getting started? From downloadable posters to videos and guides, there are plenty of resources available to help you make an even bigger difference on the environment.
