Every year, millions of laptops are discarded across Canada. TerraCycle® is putting an end to this awful loss of resources! For each approved lap top received, your Collection Location will be awarded five hundred and fifty TerraCycle points which can be redeemed for a variety of charity gifts or for a payment of $5.00 to the non-profit organization or school of your choice. To participate in the Laptop Brigade®, sign up online and you can start collecting laptops immediately (collect them from your family, friends, classmates, fellow teachers - anyone!). Once you collect at least 2 laptops, put them in a reused shipping container or box, attach a pre-paid shipping label that you can print off of your profile on the TerraCycle website, and then call UPS for pick up at 1 800 PICK UPS begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 1 800 PICK UPS end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 1 800 PICK UPS end_of_the_skype_highlighting or drop it off at your nearest UPS drop off centre. Laptop batteries and laptop power cords will also be accepted through the Brigade, but you will only receive payment for laptops.

The following types of waste can be collected through the Lap Top Brigade: laptops, notebook computers, netbooks.
Information Destruction: Hard drives are removed and shredded. All information from electronics is removed.
