If your shipment weighs at least 2.2 lbs (approximately 100 lunch kits), each lunch kit your location sends in will earn the non-profit of your choice 2 points or $0.02. Lunch kits will be counted based on weight, using 16 grams as the average weight of a lunch kit.

To receive the TerraCycle point donation, your shipment must weight a minimum of 2.2 lbs (approximately 100 lunch kits). There is no maximum limit to the amount of lunch kits you can send in.

Download a pre-paid UPS return label by clicking the “SHIP US YOUR WASTE” icon on the recycling program webpage when logged into your personal account. Click the green “Get Shipping Labels/Supplies” box on the following page and a label will be sent to your email. Print the pre-paid label, affix it to a reused box and call UPS at 1-800-742-5877 to schedule a next day pick up. You may also drop it off at a UPS location.

Nope! You will be able to print pre-paid UPS shipping labels from our website through your online account. This will bring your Schneiders® Lunchmate® collections back to our factory to be recycled into other TerraCycle products! You win, we win, and the environment wins!

Yes. You can select, add or change your preferred charities via your account on the TerraCycle website. Simply log into your account and click on the "MY IMPACT" tab. To add a new preferred charity to your account, please select the "Add New Charity" button. Please note that during the check out process when redeeming points, you will also be given a chance to choose an existing charitable gift and update or change your preferred charities.

You can also call 1 800 758 2943 or email customersupport@terracycle.ca with the charity name, address and contact person.

You must redeem your points for a cash donation via your account in order for a cheque to be disbursed to the charity of your choice. Please note, there is a minimum of 1,000 points or $10 needed for each cash donation.
Cash donations are mailed directly to the charity, twice a year in June and January.
All cash donations requested between May 1st and October 31st will be disbursed in January. All cash donations requested between November 1st and April 30th will be disbursed in June.

The minimum number of lunch kits you can ship to TerraCycle to receive the 2 cents per lunch kit donation is 100 units (approximately 2.2 lbs). If you send less than 100 lunch kits, you will not receive the payment but we will still recycle the lunch kits you send in.

You can redeem your points at any time for one of TerraCycle's charitable gifts, or towards a cash donation (cheque) to any non-profit or charitable organization, including schools. Please keep in mind that there is a minimum of 1,000 points or $10 needed for a cash donation.

The TerraCycle Schneiders® Lunchmate® Recycling Program allows all individuals and organizations to provide a second life for used lunch kits! There are some practical considerations your organizations should keep in mind. For example, our program is not designed to accommodate recycling centers.

We accept any brand and any size lunch kit packaging including the lunch kit plastic trays, the lunch kit plastic film and all the inside plastic packaging and wrappers.

Please note: We DO NOT accept the cardboard packaging. Instead, you may recycle this through your municipal recycling program.

Please log into your account on the TerraCycle website. Select the “COLLECTION PROGRAMS” tab and then the "X" located next to the Schneiders® Lunchmate® Recycling Program.
