Nestlé Earth Month Treasure Hunt

Glad® and TerraCycle® want to celebrate parents and guardians from across the country who are making a difference in the environment and their communities. Tell us what your mom, dad, or guardian is doing to protect the planet for a chance to win upcycled products courtesy of TerraCycle and Glad.

What Is The Glad® to be green contest?

Does your mom, dad or guardian go above and beyond traditional recycling? Do they plant trees in your community, or engage in other activities designed to help protect the environment? Then nominate them for the Glad® to be green Contest for a chance to amazing Glad upcycled jewelry for your mom or a nice Glad upcycled tie for your dad

Who Can Participate?

The Glad® to be green contest is open to all active and participating TerraCycle Sandwich Bag & Container Brigade locations. To enter, send an essay of 250 words or less telling us why your mom, dad or guardian is doing to make a difference for the environment and community. Also send a photo of your Mom, Dad or Guardian in action to contest@terracycle.ca. The contest kicks off May 1 and the Grand Prize winner will be announced on July 16.

Contest Time Period

Entries will be judged on the impact of the green initiative and its creativity, We'll also look at how well written and clearly stated the essay is. After the entry phase is closed on, TerraCycle will choose three female finalists and three male finalists. During a two-week public voting phase, the public will choose a Grand Prize female winner and a Grand Prize male winner from the finalists.

Submission: May 1 - June 30, 2012

Finalists Announced: July 16, 2012

Voting Open: July 16 – July 31, 2012

Winners Announced: August 6, 2012

What Are The Prizes?

The greenest mom or Guardian will receive the following amazing upcycled jewelry:

And the greenest Dad or Guardian will receive an awesome upcycled tie valued at $175 and the award-winning essay will be featured on the TerraCycle website as well as in the TerraCycle newsletter.
